A Night on the Town

Today was so much fun. We went to Pinkberry and enjoyed one of our favorite treats. After Pinkberry we went to the Met. After the museum we went for a stroll through Central Park. Things are finally starting to bloom here! Spring is on it's way. It makes me so sad that I am still wearing a coat and we are now well into April. I am from CA, I don't do cold. I am so ready for it to be warm. After Central Park we went out to dinner with our good freinds Joe and Tori. I have known Tori since we were three. We have been friends forever. Joe and Josh have also been friends for years. They met at our wedding and were married within a year! The came out here for a little vacation and it was so fun to play with them in the city. We see them all the time in Salt Lake but it was so great to spend some time with them out here. After dinner we walked to Rockefeller Center and Times Square. At Rockefeller Center we went to the top of the Rockefeller Building. It was so much fun. It was much more pleasant than going to the Empire State Building. We didn't wait in a single line and were able to go up to the very top floor. The building has 70 stories. The elevator ride to the top was so cool! The top of the elevator was glass and they had music and a twinkly little light show while you went up. That was one of my favorite parts. I get nervous when I get into an elevator, I think the cables are going to break and I'm going to fall to my death. I wasn't scared at all on this elevator. I was so entertained! Once we were at the top there was a light room that Josh can probably explain to you better than I can. Wherever you walk, lights on the ceiling follow you. It was pretty cool. We were eye level with the ESB and got to see the entire city all lit up. It was beautiful. It looks so different at night. We are headed back to SLC next week and I will miss NewYork so much. We have loved our time here.

The Empire State Building from the top of the Rockefeller Building. Sorry it's out of focus.

I bet you didn't know that Josh was there the day this famous picture was taken. He's older than he looks.
