Lukey Pukey

My cute brother Luke came into town today to go to EFY. We got to hang out all day! We went up Little Cottonwood Canyon this evening to get out of the house. It was so beautiful up there. I love the mountains in Utah, it is the best part about living in this state. When we got to the end of the road we got out. It was super windy! The boys had fun throwing sticks. They flew forever before landing because the wind was carrying them so far. There is a short clip of Josh throwing some at the end of this post. The quality of these pictures isn't great because it got pretty dark while we were up there. I always love seeing baby Luke. I can't believe how old and big he is now. He'll be on a mission in just a few years...SAD!

The boys got tired of waiting for me to get the right setting on the camera so they decided to dance.

Our Trip to Newport

So this is going to be the longest post ever. We just got back from a week in Newport Beach. It was so much fun! We got to spend the week with my family and loved every minute we had with them. I am going to tell about our week with pictures that we took.

This is me on our balcony. We had a great view of the ocean. It was beautiful and we loved the resort.

The boys enjoyed the cold water all week long. I only got in the ocean once. I enjoy being warm. They boogie boarded and body surfed all week long.

The kids buried Josh. They dug a huge hole and he climbed right in.

We were the frisbee golf champions! It came down to sudden death three times in a row but we came through and won!

This is my cousin Rachel with her baby Dylan. He is one of my boyfriends. I love him. He was the chubbiest, cutest, best little baby ever. He is always happy and is the yummiest babe in the world. I wish he was my baby.

This is my other boyfriend Jake. He is my little buddy and I hope our little boys are half as cool as he is. He is such a stud. He is only 21 months old and he can count to 10 in English and Spanish. He is so smart, he has the best vocabulary and remembers everyone's name. We played all week long. We dug for sand crabs, played catch, played catch and hunted for creepy crawly things. I love little Jakey so much!

Josh and Jake had a blast together. Jake makes Josh really excited to have sons. He will be the best dad.

My good friend from BYU, Pete, came to one of our family BBQ s. It was fun to see him again and to catch up after a couple of years.

Me and Mari playing at the pool.

This is kind of funny, we were all reading the first Twilight book. I am getting eager to finish the series.

My parents took us to Pageant of the Masters. I don't really know how to describe it so when I think of a way I'll tell you all about it. For now just know that it was really interesting.

Me and Josh at the beach.

We got to play on Balboa Island. My parents and Linds went on the never ending Ferris wheel ride. We shopped and enjoyed a beautiful night out.

We went on an evening harbor cruise. I really hope we can live in Newport one day. We saw some of the most AMAZING homes ever. These homes were right on the water with the huge multi-million dollar yachts parked in front of them. It made me quite jealous.

We played pool volleyball.

We had a ton of family BBQ s and made smores.

Here is Claire. She is so cute! She is always happy and always looks surprised. I want to squish her.

Seriously?

So, last night we went to a Dodger game with my family. My dad has season tickets on the field. We went and ate dinner first and then we headed out to our seats. We literally sat right behind the dug out. The Dodgers played the the Marlins and that is who we were sitting behind. My dad told me to ask for a ball. I went over and asked the first player I saw for a ball. He looked at me and this is how our conversation went:

Me: Hey, can I get a ball?
Senior D.B.: Why are you wearing that flower thing on your head?
Me: I like it, you don't like it?
Senior D.B.: No, I think it's stupid!
Me: Well can I still get a ball?
Jerk Face: Do you have your parents permission?
Me: I'm 22 years old and married!

From there he just laughed and walked away. Can you believe what a jerk he was? I was shocked he was that rude! He thought I was some annoying 12 year old kid. I can't believe he asked if I had my parents permission to get a ball. Do I really look that young? The guy didn't even end up playing in the game. He was a pansy and had to sit out the whole time.

Us in the lounge before the game.

My cute parents.

I felt so bad for this guy. He got booed off the field at his own stadium. Poor baby.

During the 7th inning stretch.

Woohoo!

Yay for vacationing in California! We flew into California on Friday and will be here for a week and a half. We spent the first few days at my parents house and will spend the rest of our time in Newport Beach. I am so excited to spend time with my family and enjoy not working for ten days.

Here we are on the teeny tiny plane.

We were able to meet up with our friends the Ten Eycks for dinner in Beverly Hills on Friday night. We had so much fun with them. They are a great couple. We walked around the city and got some yummy gilato after dinner. I really hope to move back here soon. I miss the weather, my family and my friends.
