Logan City

Yesterday we took a day trip to Logan. I L-O-V-E Logan in the Fall. It is so charming and with the leaves, old buildings, and small town feel it is the perfect setting for a perfect Fall day. We went up there to get pumpkins, eat at a little cafe, and enjoy a day away from our normal lives. The weather was great and we were so happy to enjoy a beautiful Fall day.

We had lunch at the Bluebird Cafe. It is this cute little restaurant, candy shop and ice cream parlor that was built in 1914. It kind of reminded me of the candy shop at the beginning of Willie Wonka.

After lunch we walked across the street to the Logan Tabernacle. I love this building, it is absolutely gorgeous.

One of our main reasons for going up to Logan was to get our pumpkins for Halloween. We found this cute little family pumpkin patch. They grew pumpkins, tomatoes and corn. They just left an "honor can" out for people to leave their money in. I couldn't believe they trusted people enough to do that. I thought that was pretty amazing. I wish I had enough faith in people to use an honor can for something. Anyway, our pumpkins are great and we are so glad we found this little patch.

Here are out perfect pumpkins. Can you believe we got all of these for only $13?

After we picked our pumpkins we went and got a milkshake at an ice cream bar.
We had a great day.

I love logan. It is the best. That is where I went to school, where I met Ben, where we dated, not to mention where my mom grew up, and met my dad! I also love the Logan Temple. Anyway I know what you mean... It is so cozy and the best fall town!

Beautiful pictures! I love the fall, and am jealous that in Utah you get the real thing! California has a wannabe fall. Haha.

I LOVE Logan too! We lived there for 4 years. For so many reasons, I totally miss it. It's the best little town and SO pretty! However, I'm glad I didn't settle there because they don't have enough major stores, but other than that, I LOVE it too! What a fun little day-long get-a-way!

How fun! What a great idea for a short getaway! Maybe we'll steal your idea and drive up to Sedona and look for a pumpkin patch! We just don't get many fall leaves here in the Valley of the Sun...yesterday it was 98 degrees!

That pumpkin patch looks like a great find! You'll have to remind me about it next year. You guys are too cute. Look at all these fun activities and restaurants you get to enjoy sans kids! But I agree with Linda...just don't conceive a baby at the beginning of April like we did!
