Lucy's 18 month pictures were done by the amazing Jen Herem. We love her. I think they capture her so perfectly at this age. She is beautiful, always on the go, and always happy, and I think these pictures show just that.
Well, this post is more than 2 months over due, but nevertheless here it is. I know I am the only one who is interested in these posts, but I don't care, I love to go back and read about things she did that I have forgotten about. Lucy is still our crazy, bust, non-stop action girl. She seriously has the best personality ever. She is always so happy, is so very animated, and has a zest for life that anyone would be jealous of. She's got the cutest face around, and the brightest smile I've ever seen. I couldn't love her more. At 18 months, Lucy:
still takes two 2 hour naps a day, and sleeps 12 hours at night. She has always been an amazing sleeper, and for that I am grateful. She asks to go down for a nap and to go to bed at night, this girl loves to sleep, just like her mama.
folds her arms in the cutest possible way for prayers. I seriously could die from her adorableness when she does this.
is very mischievous. I don't know if she means to be, or if she is just overcome by curiosity, but she is into everything, all the time.
runs with t-rex arms (photos above). It's hilarious and something some of my siblings did/do.
never ever ever stops moving. Everyone always comments on how busy she is, strangers and people we know. She has an endless amount of energy, it's truly amazing.
is still as tiny as ever. At 18 months, she weighs 19 lbs and is still below 0% on the charts. She is tall though, lucky girl. She can still wear most of her 6 month clothes from last summer.
took and hated survival swim lessons. She LOVES to be in the water and swim, just not with a stranger who dunks her under and makes her float on her back.
has an ever expanding vocabulary. She picks up new words every day and is a very smart little girl. She makes eye contact and tilts her head when she is telling a story or trying to explain what she wants.
is very polite and is great with her pleases and thank yous
still is a champion eater, except she won't touch poultry or eggs.
still love Home Alone, and Tangled, but has also added Elf to the movie list.
is obsessed with her BF Finn. She may love him more than she loves me.
loves going to the park and Gymboree- anywhere she can run free and play.
doesn't like having dirty hands or feet.
loves bath time and brushing her teeth, all 6 of them! Yes, she is a very late teether, and I am 100% ok with it. She is currently breaking her first molar, which will make 7 teeth at almost 19 months.
still loves to accessorize. We change hats, scarves, bows, shoes, etc. probably 8000 times a day. The first thing she wants to do in the morning is pick out a bow, some shoes, and a jacket, and go for a walk. She usually comes up with quite the combination, and it entertains everyone we pass.
she loves to see our neighbors dog and is always disappointed when he isn't out in the front yard.
is extremely social. She loves to say 'hi!' and 'bye-bye!' to everyone we pass, wherever we go. She will say goodbye to someone until she can't see them anymore.
gets so excited to get her hand stamped at the end of our Costco trips.
loves to play with her babies. She is the best little mommy. She pretends to change their diapers, gives them bottles, shares her snacks with them, rocks them and pats their backs.
still gets a binki when she goes to bed.
likes choo-choos, animals from a distance, building blocks, balls, swinging on the swing her dad built in our back yard on our cherry tree, coloring on surfaces that aren't paper, her dad, and other kids.
We love you, our precious Lucy. We wouldn't change a thing about you. You are perfect in every way possible and we are so proud of you.
