and I quote, "I can't wait to have four sons so we can hang out and be awesome. We can box all day and they can protect my one daughter who will hopefully be mentally challenged."

Oh my gosh, this is so funny. He sounds a little mentally challenged. Hmmm... Love ya!
Wow! That's the only positive comment I've ever heard from Josue on the issue of your children! I say he's just given the go-ahead. Time to start trying!
That is so funny because pretty sure, Ryan said the same thing (daughter-wise) before we had kids... wanted them to be ugly so HE wouldn't have to worry about them dating. Nice.
Can't wait until he gets 4 beautiful girls and a boy.... that will REALLY stress him out! LOL! So you should have kids already... I hear your mom is ready for grandkids!
The one girl thing really is "a good thing." The mentally challenged part, well I understand the spirit in which it was meant. But looking at the gene pool, it probably is inevitable you will have a gorgeous daughter. So here are some ideas,(that I wish someone would have given me):
Between the ages of 12-20, dress her in DI type clothing (NO CUTE CLOTHES). Make sure she is wearing braces all through High School. Don't let her glamorize herself with things like, nails, haircuts and color, make-up etc. Do not let her join dance, cheer or anything to help her be popular. Encourage her to join math club and things of that sort. Now Courtney this will be the most difficult for you to do; but maybe, just maybe Josh will have a chance to keep her protected. Besides who cares about self-confidence...right?
I can not believe you got 14 comments within a couple of hours on that post! Hilarious! I think the "hang out and be awesome" is the funniest part of that quote! Who hangs out being awesome??? On second thought I guess Brad and Angelina do... And thanks for having my back on the grandchildren subject Lauren! As long as I am ready that is all that matters right?
Are you kidding? Give me a break. This is something I said spontaneously to my wife in a light-hearted moment.
Forgive my short fuse, but you must have some serious mental issues yourself to believe that I would really wish that upon my daughter. On the other hand, your post alone has revealed that there are worse things my daughter could be than mentally-challenged.
Furthermore, even if I DO have a mentally-challenged daughter, I will still find it in myself to love her completely, in spite of her gender (note the subtle sarcasm), as long as she doesn't end up being both mentally-challenged AND nosy.
Please try to refrain from inviting yourself into our humor when you lack both the invitation and the capacity to understand it/us.
Okay so weird I checked the blog, read your comments to nosy girl and the pass word verification...I swear I am not making this up... is nosiness!!! Did you find a way to do that on purpose or is that the most random and strange co-ink-i-dink???
Oh yeah, and Josh... remind me never to make you angry. And btw being mentally challenged doesn't keep the boys away. Court is mentally challenged and you were attracted to her... just kidding! I love you both ad will love my 6 grand daughters, mentally challenged or not!
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience." Gordon B. Hinckley, 2006

That is hilarious! If you ever have a daughter you can tell her how her Dad wanted her to be mentally challenged, I am sure she will love that :)

Guys are so weird.
:)
LMAO!!!!!! I heart Josh. That is awesome!
hahahahahahaha! I can just hear josh saying that. And he is probably hoping that she is ugly too so the boys will stay away. We miss you guys too!!!
LOL! Josh is a piece of work.
hot and mentally challenged would not be a good combo.
He always says he hopes she is fat and ugly too. I think he's just asking for it.

Will this be funny if your daughter really is mentally challenged? Really poor taste.
