Josh and I have often found ourselves saying, "If anyone could hear us right now they would think we are the craziest, weirdest people alive." Last night I think we said that exact thing about 4 or 5 times. When we go to bed I am ready for sleep. Josh isn't, he thinks bed time is play time. He loves to wrestle, tickle, play, pretty much anything but let me sleep. So last night we were being a little silly and played a word game. We had to take turns saying words that started with "sl" and a few other letter combinations that I now can not remember. After our little word game I was really ready to sleep. Josh told me he was going to sing me a lullaby. He leaned in and started to sing me the following song:
"Happy peanuts soar
over chocolate-covered mountain tops
and waterfalls of caramel.
Prancing nougat in the meadow
sings a song of satisfaction to the world."
Then we got even dorkier and Josh was trying to teach me to sing that song in harmony with him. Yes, were laying in bed trying sing a Snickers commercial song in harmony. To watch the real commercial click here. Is there anything weird that you guys do when no one else is around?

That's awesome Joe doesn't think bed time is bed time either. Why are boys like that? Hence last night he thought me getting into bed and closing my eyes ment pillow talk time. BUt I lvoe that you guys are dorks thats the best! and i love that josh sang that song
haha I love it! Yeah I know what you mean. We pretty much antagonize each other for a while, being goofy like you guys. This might match your word game: Our ceiling is the kind that is swirly, so we both have our own animals/creatures ("friends") we have found in the swirls. Mine are over my head, and his over his head....gotta love marriage.

anyway, this post made me giggle! my husband and i are HUGE dorks together! oh man... i think if anyone were to observe us while we are alone together, they would think we are insane, we're so silly!
and i think it is a guy thing to think bed time is play time, my husband is *exactly* the same way! we play games like that all the time. he also thinks its time to wrestle with & tickle me! and all i want to do is sleep! crazy boys!!

Okay, this is amazing! Chris & I say that allllll the time! But we do things like have ridiculous pretend fights, and say things like "well you smell bad" as an argument..but they last sometimes over 20minutes! We are crazy...I am happy to see that we are not alone! & I have to confess, I am the JOSH at bedtime..I harass your brother sooo much! I almost feel bad...almost.. ;)

Oh my gosh! Ben and I have had that conversation so many times! And I swear no one else would think it was funny, but we are just cracking up.

I love that song! And yes we do weird things...one night at dinner in a restaurant I licked your dad's arm, like from elbow to wrist. The boys laughed and dad got grossed out so I had to do it like 6 more times... is that weird enough for you? ~ Mom
